This is the debut performance of PPE, a power trio from Eugene, Oregon. Made up of bassist Sean Peterson, guitarist Jack Radsliff and drummer Ken Mastrogiovanni, PPE is dedicated to performing original compositions by its members. For this engagement, we showcase music composed during the pandemic, when all three of us have been busy in new and exciting ways, musically.
For this Broadway House concert, “Songs to Live Through,” PPE will perform music composed during the time of Covid. Some compositions affirm hope, others promote relaxation, others foreground uncertainty and exploration. In all cases, the music means to encourage both band and audience to be present together, here in this moment, through the spirit of improvisation, the pleasure of grooves, and the power of possibility.
